FORT COLLINS, Colorado—Abbey Porter led the Utah Valley women’s golf team with score of 1-under-par 143 (75-68) after two rounds of play at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins. Utah Valley is in ninth place on the team leaderboard at 15-over-par 591 (294-297).
The Wolverines sit in ninth place in the 11-team field with a two-round score of 15-over-par 591 (294-297). UVU sits ahead of Cal State Northridge (+33) and Bowling Green (+38). UVU is just four shots behind UC Irvine (+11) in eighth place. Nevada holds the team lead at 18-under-par.
After carding 3-over-par 75 in round one, Porter moved up 22 spots on the leaderboard to 14th place with a second-round score of 4-under-par 68. Porter recorded five birdies in round two, including three on the front nine. She is just three shots out of fifth place.
Leighton Shosted shot a 1-over-par 145 (69-76) and is tied for 22nd place in the 63-player field. Shosted shot a 3-under-par 69 in round one with five birdies, four of which were on the back nine. She then carded a 4-over-par 76 in round two.
Millie Terrion shot a 4-over-par 76 in round one and a 1-over-par 73 in round two. Terrion had eight birdies over her two rounds. She is tied for 33rd with a two-round score of 5-over-par 149 (76-73).
Victoria Estrada is tied for 52nd after carding a two-round score of 11-over-par 155 (75-80). Caylyn Ponich is tied for 60th at 15-over-par 159 (75-84).
The Wolverines will play the final round of the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Tuesday. UVU will begin teeing off at 9 a.m. MT. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com
